Year Almost Finished!

Hello everyone! Finally, I've almost finished everything school related for the year! Just exams and a couple of internals and I'm done!

I really need to start posting more on my Youtube channel though, I bought over $500 NZD worth of Pokemon cards a month or two ago and need to film a video for them! I think I've decided to make masterbrendantv1 strictly for just for hobby related stuff. I plan to open another Youtube channel for vlogs & comedy sort of videos. This is to separate each sort of video into separate sections because there are actually types of videos which people care for more on the person and another for just the stuff shown in the video and less on the person. This is how I feel anyway, also the sort of videos are quite different so I don't want to get it all messed up.

At the moment I'm watching The Help on TV. Yesterday I watched the Conjuring, I thought it'd be very scary but I felt  it was just the right amount but not real scary. Maybe because I studied horror in Media Studies this year? haha.

Oh well, need to relax, 80% stress free now which is good! I spent weeks finishing off design and photography! Well that's all really, missed posting last month unfortunately. Can't wait for Christmas now!
I won tickets to the new Pokemon movie so I can't wait to see it this week.

Mock Exams + Life

Before I begin let's take a look at my list and see how I've done:

• Finish the video I'm making for Youtube/ Application *YES!
• Complete The Geography Internal *YES!
• Finish one Scholarship Page for Design in 1 week & finish the rest of the pages later on *NO!
• Study for the Calc Resit *YES(AND PASSED! WOOT WOOT!)
• Film the Media Studies film very Very SOOOOOOON!!! *DID EVENTUALLY!
• Finish the DTM magazine and other DTM work *NO!
• Finish Photography Scholarship pages & take more pictures NO/SORT OF!
• Study, Study, STUDY!!! *KINDA
  And that's all I think but I'm probably forgetting something!

Other things I did was create a portfolio which I ended up not using after all! I'm getting ready to send in my application for tertiary education next year, so nervous!

Had mock exams this week and last week. On Monday I had Calc and Design. Let's just not talk about calc because it went real bad! Let's just hope that this isn't my actual grade in the end! Today I had Media Studies and it went ok so I think I at least passed one paper. I'm studying for Geography so I'm sot of studying now but I'm procrastinating at the moment!

Last weekend I went up to Wellington to celebrate my Grandad's 80th birthday and at the same time took a look at Massey Uni. Just have to say that the days went by so fast that I was already back home before I knew it!

Well life I stressing me out at the moment! Must carry on though! I can't believe I haven't posted on here in ages! It feels good to just type out stuff sometimes as it feels like a bit of a reflection on my life and also helps calm the mind.

On other news I just spent a mega load on mighty ape once again! $300+ NZD T.T I think I'm a shopaholic!

Eeek! So angry that I couldn't answer most of the questions in the Calc Internal I did today!!! Must study harder to pass at least one internal!!! I woke up at 6am just to study!!!! Didn't help though!

Ok now that's out of the way I feel a lot more better :)

So it's been quite some time since I've posted! I accidentally skipped out July! I do have a checklist on what I need to do and I'll share it out (It'll help get my priorities straight so that I do better this year. I did do a new years resolution list on either blogger or tumblr which I'll take a look at at the end of the year to see how I went!

Hm... So the school year is nearly over! It's term 3 week 2, and we have 9 weeks in this term!! I feel like I'm running out of time! Next year could be real stressful! Even more than this year!

Well that's all I think! Nothing exciting happened really, now watching Hell Girl (I'm up to episode 12) started watching at around episode 6 or 7 today! Did watch the latest episode of Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin). Soooooo goooooooood!!!! Must watch it if you haven't yet!

Long Time No Talk

It's been ages! Almost a month!
Once again I've been crammed with internals and work to do at school!(again right?!) I have a re-sit in 2 days, 2 internals that need to be handed in on Monday, another internal which needs to be handed in the same week on Wednesday, I had an essay due today(managed to finish in time), and while at the same time I have to create a magazine for DTM with a friend. I need rest T.T I started watching Mirai Nikki(Future Diary), it's an anime, pretty good, reminded me of Death Note until all the other characters were introduced, then I started thinking of Battle Royale, Another and The Hunger Games, Oh and Higurashi. Kinda addicting, I'm up to episode 16 and I only started yesterday! I better pass all my internals and externals though! Oh well, better keep going with it then!

The Joys Of Custom Thumbnails

Oh the joys of now being able to have custom thumbnails :D I really like it. Take a look! Before and after, which one do you prefer?? :P I've always wanted to change the thumbnail and now I did! I'm going to change more throughout the week but will keep most of them looking like actual thumbnails since I hate it when the video thumbnail is unrecognisable from the actual video.

Just a quick post on what I did today. Not much really. I played soccer at lunch and got kicked in the face!

Today I've just been working on internal work. I just handed in a formative assessment for Design. I've been working on my film brief for Media Studies. I have to finish a DTM brief by week 5 (it's week 3 now), i have to hand in photos for a photography formative(just handed in an internal a couple of days ago!), I have a maths internal in week 5 too! So much to do!!!!! This is why I can't film any new videos!!!!

Just have a quick snippet of time to blog though just before I sleep haha.

YouTube Partnership

In this post I'm going to talk about YouTube partnership (at least the one which everyone can apply anyway).
Last year I created a channel called "masterbrendantv1", although I don't get that many views I have to say that it gets more than any beginner YouTuber. After thinking about it for a bit I applied for YouTube partnership(the one everyone can join). In a matter of seconds I was partnered.

Monetization

Anything else??? Don't really know. I have to be 18 though to apply for Google adsense(I'm 17), there's this risk of  me getting my account deactivated which is getting me a bit afraid of me to even begin to monetize until I get more views.

One day I hope to build up my audience so that I can communicate to people all over the world(even though I do it now)

I was a bit unsure on Package opening and collection videos but after some searching and asking around I got a 98% ok so I went through. Although I don't get any money I get custom thumbnails which I really like since I have so many unattractive stills of myself!

Ipod Touch!

Today is the last day I'll be 16 years old ever again! O.o
Things that have happened since my last post
Got an Ipod Touch 32 GB on Thursday 9th, so cool :D, got a free blue tooth phone too!

Currently I'm soooooooooo addicted to Clash of Clans!!! Is soooooo similar to Travian! I used to be so addicted to that game that I just quit! Probably will happen to me with this game too! 

The camera has HD recording so I can film more videos in HD now! Expect some videos soon!

7th May

I don't know what to call this post so I just called it "7th May" because that's the date today. Ok so tomorrow is the 18th Anniversary of the singer Teresa Teng, a very well know Taiwanese singer who has covered various songs it Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, English, Japanese and possibly more! I've been watching and listening to some of her music and performances.

Anyway at the moment I'm watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. I'm up to episode 55. The only reason I haven't finished yet is because I ran out of broadband on Saturday so the internet went slow for a day, then it was pay per MB (or GB) so it was better not to use too much usage.

I went back to school on Monday, it was alright, luckily I wasn't piled with homework but I know that'll change very soon!

On other news, it's my birthday in 9 days :) I wouldn't say I'm extremely excited because it means that I'm a year older but it means I'll be one year away from being able to buy R18 games, TV shows and Movies!

Just before i shot a video in HD about my sisters rabbits, not much is in the video actually but I felt like I needed to film a video since I haven't filmed in around 1 month! So it's just a quick video. I'm still planning a "Draw My Life" and "50 things about me" video which I kinda half filmed then deleted around a month ago.

New Videos - Gwiyomi

I haven't managed to film another video recently but I will soon hopefully! This was the video I filmed around 2 weeks ago (Gwiyomi), why some people call it Kiyomi I have no idea. Uh... anyway didn't do much today either. I was supposed to finish off my Design internal but couldn't be bothered. Now about to go to bed because I have work tomorrow! (Have to wake up at 7am!) Well it's official! 2 of my YouTube videos have stuck view counts haha! Oh well, they should go up eventually. I've never noticed until today. 

What did I do today?? That's a good question, it went by in a flash once again and I didn't manage to do much. Went to the Sunday Market and ended up buying a Pokemon Manga! So awesome! Had KFC takeout then the rest is a blurr really, watched more Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and that's all really and it's almost 10:30pm

1 Week

It's been 1 week since holidays began and only have around 1 more week left! It's going so fast! Almost everyday I've been working! I get two days off (Sunday and Monday) so yay! Uhg I need to finish my Design internal though, I'm just leaving it until the end like usual!

Anyway I'm up to episode 26 of Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, not much has happened but it's still ok. Not a very interesting post sorry, I have a pretty straight forward life with not much going on haha. I turn 17 in less than a month now, sort of excited, sort of not since I'll be a year older.

Anzac Day

Well today's Anzac Day! I remember one year Anzac Day fell on the same day as Easter.  Anyway, I have to say that I haven't done much today. Watched Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood because people keep saying watch that one not the original. I'm up to episode 17. I started on episode 11 and started watching on Monday I think?? Day after I finished On the Fringe. It's been ok I guess, I've seen better anime though but this one's not too bad. Also went out to Joyful for lunch which is a Chinese Restaurant. My order on YesAsia finally arrived yesterday! Mostly Soundlife albums this time. I'm extremely happy to have bought 2 M-Girls non CNY albums since I've been having trouble collecting them. If you didn't know I'm a huge fan of the M-Girls members (Queenzy, Angeline, Cass and Crystal) all who were past child stars and have become very popular in Malaysia and other parts of the world. I recently made two more orders with YesAsia, both under $100NZD for 8+ albums for each so not too bad, I guess that's the best thing about Chinese music because it's inexpensive. Most of these albums actually came with bonus CD's so that was a bonus! Well not much else to talk about. Have a nice day, bye!

Too much spending!

Bought 4 DVD's and 1 Blu-ray today. i think I buy too many films and TV shows these days but I can't resist the temptation haha! Everything I bought today was on sale or at some reduced price! $7 for a Blu-ray released within the year,  $5-$8 movies released within 1-4 years ago?? couldn't resist haha!  I had the urge to re-organise my bookshelf and add in a Pokemon shelf (If you didn't know I'm a huge Pokemon fan) Not surprisingly enough it's too small haha! I couldn't fit everything in the shelf.

On other news I didn't really do anything yesterday or today besides working yesterday and shopping today. Oh and I cleaned my desk and bottom shelf haha. This is what the shelf looks like at the moment. Some Pokemon Figurines, DVD I got from Malaysia, Johto DVD Pokedex Book, Pokemon DIamond And Perl Galactic Battles and a couple of Calendars are seen in this picture. Other DVD's are behind it. All my other Pokemon related stuff are kept in other places.

Term 1 Holidays Begins!

This marks my first official blog shift from Tumblr to Blogger.
Finally! Term 1 holidays begins! Had an awesome day today even though I had school.
In Media Studies we finished watching The Cabin in the Woods from yesterday and in Geography we finished watching Taken from yesterday also. In Geography we started this Cake Friday thing where every Friday, a group of people bring in cakes and biscuits, very yum!

As for what else I did today, I had fried food for Afternoon Tea, watched more episodes of On The Fringe 边缘父子 and The Biggest Loser Australia 2012. Not much is going to happen today, probably going to watch more episodes of On The Fringe. Tomorrow I'm going to be working. If you don't know I work at a Salmon factory and pack fish. It's the holidays so I'll be working. Won't have much holiday time but will get more $$ :D

On The Fringe 边缘父子

Hi everyone! (Sorry for having a text background colour, there was some problem with it) I feel like blogging at the moment. I thought I might as well talk about a drama I'm watching at the moment called On The Fringe (边缘父子). It is a Singaporean Chinese drama which ran from 2 August 2011 until 29 August 2011. I really got into watching Media Corp drama's after watching Don't Stop Believin' (我们等你!)  and Destiny In Her Hands (断掌的女人). Although I don't 100% understand Mandarin, luckily all episodes have English subs so I'm learning Chinese at the same time. 


From watching Don't Stop Believin' (我们等你!), I became a fan of the actors Edwin Goh, Kimberly Chia, Xu Bin & Ian Fang but also many others from this drama and others too!  The thing about a lot of dramas (at least for Media Corp) is that they re-use a lot of the same actors because most dramas run from around 12-20 (some go on for longer or shorter), I started watching this drama because Edwin, Kimberly and Ian were in this. After watching a couple of episodes, I realised that there were many other actors which I have seen from various Media Corp dramas. It's sort of fun seeing the actors play different roles, some play both bad and good while some are normally either good or bad guys in these dramas haha!
Well anyway, On The Fringe is more of a drama about gangs than anything else. The main protagonist is a guy named Tian Yi Bang (Li Nan Xing) who was once in a gang and arrested for (i think) 15 years and now he's let out. When he was first sent to jail his wife came to tell him that he had a son and gave him a picture of the baby boy, telling him to never see him again.
If I had to rate the drama I'd give it a 7/10, just because it's good but not one of the best I've seen by them. I'm still watching the drama (around half way) but I don't quite see what's going to happen in the drama. The only predictable thing is that probably the protagonist will reveal himself to his son and one of the kids or supporting cast will get killed.
